We are so excited to be part of this year’s A Brush with Art throughout September!
Come and drop into Wadna and see our beautiful collection of Aboriginal arts and crafts, handmade with love, culture and connection to Country. ❤️
Throughout the month, we already have a number of talented family members who will be showcasing their work and selling their handmade products, and we can’t wait for you to see what they create.
We would also love to invite any family members and Adnyamathanha artists who would like to come and use our space during September. Whether you love painting, jewellery making, weaving, carving or creating other arts and crafts, please get in touch with us.
We would be very proud to host you, give you a space to create, and help showcase your talents to visitors from all over Australia and the world.

The Wadna Cultural Learning Hub has become a significant contributor to both the tourism industry and the preservation of Adnyamathanha culture. It provides a dedicated space where visitors engage in authentic cultural experiences through storytelling, language, bush tucker, traditional practices, art, and truth-telling, fostering a deeper understanding of Australia’s First Nations heritage. The Hub has created meaningful employment and mentoring opportunities for Adnyamathanha people while supporting local artists and encouraging the transfer of cultural knowledge between Elders and younger generations. It has strengthened partnerships with schools, tour operators, government agencies, and the wider community, making cultural education more accessible and impactful. By encouraging visitors to stay longer in the region, the Hub contributes to the local economy and supports surrounding tourism businesses. Today has been a difficult day to watch.
On a day like ANZAC Day, we come together to honour and acknowledge all of our diggers — all who have served, sacrificed, and stood for this country. This should be a moment of respect, unity, and reflection.
To witness an Elder, a veteran — a man whose family has served this country, and who himself has served — being booed and disrespected while speaking about our people gathering on this land for thousands of years, was deeply upsetting.
As an Indigenous business, this hits hard.
We stand every day sharing culture, educating, and building understanding. We open our doors, our stories, and our country to people from all walks of life. We do this with pride, respect, and the hope of bringing people together.
But moments like today can feel defeating. It can feel like the gap is getting wider, not closer.
This is not who we should be.
Respect should not depend on race. Honour should not be selective. And days like today should never be overshadowed by division.
We will continue to stand strong in who we are.We will continue to share, to teach, and to welcome.Because that is how real understanding is built.
Today, we honour all diggers — past and present — with respect.
And we ask that respect be shown to all. #Respect ...
